Runespell is a role-playing PC download game combining poker mechanics with power ups and collectable cards. The world is set in an alternate medieval Europe linking historical characters with mythology and sagas. Battles against opponents consist of "strikes" with poker hands. Special skills to defeat opponents can be gained through quests, dialogue with characters, battles or trading with merchants.
Our contribution: initial definition of 250 collectable cards (allies, spells, clothes and weapons) that served as a basis for game design, testing and balancing.
